Welcome! 

My name is Michelle, and I have extremely sensitive skin. Years ago my head had itchy, red, painful bumps that were turning into little blisters from chemicals in shampoo. I have had scalp growths (that weren't a bother) since I was a kid which disappeared as I grew older.  However, my scalp sensitivity returned in my 30's. I tried to ignore it, but the bumps on my head hurt and weren't going away. These bumps would cause pain when I would brush or comb my hair. I was no longer able to use liquid organic shampoo much to my dismay. I had to figure out something because the bumps were getting worse and nothing I switched to helped until I started formulating my own skincare & shampoo bars made from 100% natural and raw plant based materials. I began studying chemistry and didn't stop test batching my own formulations until I was successful in using them on my own face (no red or drying spots) and my sensitive prone scalp. It worked! 

My Background I grew up 100% plant based. It was called "vegetarian" when I was growing up but today it's called plant based or vegan in some circles. I have adopted a "whole food" plant-based lifestyle today which I enjoy for health, ecological, and humane reasons. 

Growing up, it was rare for us to go to the doctor even as very young children. I was given healthy food and herbs instead of medicine. I was taught about the benefits of foods, herbs, sunshine, prayer, and exercise as a preventative "medicine" and was never sick. The first time I became sick was when I tried sugar in the form of a candy bar and I was 8 years old. No sugar- no illness. Sugar caused the flu. Today I try to avoid the Dr's office and avoid the "You're ill, here's a pill and pay the bill!" Natural living helps me enjoy less down time and more time to enjoy health & wellness. 

In our house as a kid we didn't go to the doctor for poison oak or skin issues. Our family knew about an herbal poultice that could be applied to the skin to take away poison oak/ivy itch. Now I know after studying that there are many other herbs that help with poison ivy and oak itch and rash such as tea tree, clays, charcoal (very helpful) and many more.

The education of herbs and healthy food choices along with the knowledge about the human body and its "systems", educated me at an early age as I was taught all about how food effects our cells and immunity. By age four, I was fascinated by an anatomy book with see through pages of the human body. I remember being fascinated by all that was inside of us! I was a blessed kid thanks to where I grew up and for my elders who passed this knowledge on to me so early in life.

Finding the solution! I wanted to get laser focused and apply the things I had learned about as a child to my current health situation. I started studying and expanding my knowledge about essential oils, herbs, plants, and chemistry and began formulating my own all-natural holistic skincare which helped my skin return to it's natural normal healthy state. I purposely left out the irritating detergents, sodium laurel sulfates, BHT, propylene glycol, chemical fillers, and artificial colorants & surfactants, found in most soaps and skincare. I added fresh virgin organic cold pressed oils, natural botanical herbs, flowers, clays, and found that using my natural formulas did more than help heal skin, it also helped shrink my pores. The formulations balanced the dry and oily parts of my delicate skin and gave my skin a healthy smooth appearance. My scalp issues calmed down until they were completely gone- and that's when I knew I had found my panacea-plant based skincare regimen! 

Formulating for the world. It took me a few years to perfect my formulas. I worked and worked until I finally came up with a formula so gentle and effective that even people with more serious and sensitive skin issues than my own found treasured relief. My soaps and lotions caught on to my friends and family. The bumps on my head went away, our friends, relatives, and co workers who had skin issues found relief, and we started getting repeat orders. It was so exciting to be able to use my knowledge to help other people find peace and health! Truly life changing for all of us.

From small beginnings to today! My husband finally left his job to come help out with Me and a Tree Skin Care in 2010 as we were growing and I needed the help with my new business. We are today a female owned and family operated business. We love what we do, and we have finally purchased five acres and are beginning the next phase of Me and Tree. I have always dreamed of owning land to grow all of our herbs and expand our company into a health and wellness utopia!

Our blogs have a lot of helpful health based information from recipes, to gardening, to skincare, and other related topics that we blog and update on regularly. Since the pandemic we were forced to completely shut down for over a year and we had to pivot fast or lose our business as all of our farmers markets were 100% shut down- just like that overnight. For a small business (or any business) staying IN business is next to impossible when everything shuts down for so long but... WE DID IT! Thanks to people like you who continued to support us online and our move to Tennessee! Thank you so much for your support! Shipping & Deliveries

Wrong or missing items from order. If your order has the wrong item resulting from a mistake on our end and is different from what is listed on your order form that you input, we will gladly pay for re-shipping your order free of charge. Our system only reprints the information you input. Please double check your order before finalizing.

Wrong/insufficient addressRe-shipping of any returned orders from wrong or incomplete addresses entered into your online account will incur a re-shipping fee. After you update your address on your online account and we receive items back at our location, then we will be happy to re-ship your order once the re-shipping fee is paid.  The re-shipping fee invoice will be sent to your online account email. Make sure all your account information is up to date.

To prevent re-shipping and order delays please be sure to enter your complete and correct shipping address. If you are finding a delay in your order contact your local USPS office with your tracking number. Holidays have typical delay schedules so plan accordingly. 


Damaged Packages. If your package shows unusual damage DO NOT ACCEPT THE PACKAGE. Packages must be denied and sent back to our facility in order for us to replace contents and resend at our expense. If products arrive damaged from carrier contact us within 24 hours of delivery recorded from carrier service. Our products are handcrafted and inspected thoroughly for quality and priority shipping.

 

Q) Tracking orders & insurance

A) Deliveries to residential areas (private homes) are covered and insured. Packages under $99 come with insurance and delivery confirmation. Packages over $100 come with insurance and proof of signature (if requested on your order form under "notes" at check out). Always make sure you trust where you are sending packages. Hotels, Offices, Colleges are not covered for a reship. Any business that has a delivery confirmation and or signature for your delivery will not be covered for a reship if lost or stolen. Make sure you trust and know your area for delivery. However, your postal carrier may be contacted by you and articles found usually within a week. Use your tracking number to locate where packages are being held in your district.


Q) My shipment has not arrived/my order was lost or stolen.
A) You were sent a tracking number when your order was placed (please check your spam folder). If an order is marked as "delivered" but you are still missing it- please click here and let us know and be prepared to go to your local post office to pick it up before it is sent back. All orders must be received back in our facility before we reship an order so, checking for your order at your local post office will ensure you get your package in a timely manner. Always make sure to have a package sent to a secure location. Hotels and colleges are notorious for losing packages and having them stolen so be wise and make sure you have a secure place you are sending to. We can not and do not ship to P.O. Boxes.  We are able to ship to Military Bases.


Q) Order received but items missing or incorrect.
A) We take pictures of all orders going out with photo clearly showing your items and order form. We will send free of charge any order that was incorrect on our part. We do not cover account entry mistakes on your end (ie: incorrect address email, number, zip etc or wrong item ordered). Always double check your order form before submitting/purchasing and/or keep your account information up to date by logging in with your use name and password. Computer labels are directly printed from your secured account and sent out. We do not change, update or copy them. Log into your account and make changes necessary before ordering for fast & accurate delivery. 


Q) Package delivered to wrong address. 
A) We do not change or re-write addresses from your online order form. We simply mail out to wherever you input into our online system. You are responsible for spell checking and confirming your own address. We will not reship an order if the mistake is an incorrectly submitted address. We do not replace items due to customer error. Our system is built to send exactly to the address you provide. We do this to make sure we do not make mistakes on our end. It's a system fail proof method. If you made an error login to your account and change your address. If your package hasn't been sent yet then it will get a printed label with the correct address. Pease send us an email and we will (if package hasn't gone out yet) wait for you to log in and input corrected address in your account by signing in). If it has already gone out, make the corrections to your online account with us by signing in to your online account on our website and using your user name and password so your next order will get to the correct address. You will be guaranteed of not making address input mistakes when placing an order if you sign in using your user name and password every time instead of writing your address again and again. You may want to check the address you accidentally sent it to and/or call your local post office TODAY. 1-800-ASK-USPS to see if you can bring your identification and pick up paid for items at your post office. Use your tracking number and make arrangements as your item is insured.

All sales are final. All our products are carefully created and processed with exceptional care and quality using small batching organic methods to ensure the best quality and purity. We carefully monitor our products all throughout packaging and shipping. We do not accept any returns for exchanges. All Gift Card sales are final and expire after one year from purchase date. If you are emailing a gift card to someone make sure recipient information is correct.
